What is the purpose of the Teen Ministry at Lighthouse Baptist Church?

Our purpose is to love and lead teenagers to Christ, help them grow spiritually, prepare them for life, and equip them to serve God in a variety of ministries. We teach Biblical principles, train in ministry involvement, and model what it means to live for Christ - all in a Biblically-safe, fun, and encouraging environment.

What We Do

Our teen program encourages our teenagers to learn to have a personal walk with God that will remain a priority for the rest of their lives and to think Biblically. 

Accomplished through 

• daily Bible reading and prayer programs 

• Scripture memorization 

• teen services which include a teen Sunday School class and a Wednesday night program with standards set and rewards for faithfulness and commitment

• strong encouragement to be leaders in the regular ministries of the church (i.e. soul-winning, teaching, music leadership, bus routes, Jr. church, etc.)

Our teen services are filled with fun, fellowship, and games. We worship the Lord with music, prayer, and by sharing life-changing lessons directly from God’s Word.

Teens are encouraged to participate in Lighthouse’s various ministries — whether by singing in the choir, working in the bus ministry, playing in the orchestra, or serving as ushers.

We want every teen to feel included and empowered to serve the Lord!

Activities That Matter

We host at least one activity each month to help teens connect, grow, and just have fun! Activities can include: 

• Bowling and laser tag

• Christmas visits at the children’s hospital

• Conferences and Youth Rallies

• TMTC (Teen Ministry Talent Competition)

• and more! 

Our teen leaders have decades of experience working with teenagers. They care about every teen’s relationship with God and are dedicated to helping them live for Christ.
